Multi-Media Journeys: Brownies “A World of Girls” Part 1

Computers and experiential activities enhance your journey! In Part 1, finish off the “Hear a Story” award using computer storytelling, then participate in activities to get started on “Changing a Story.” Some workshop facilitators are young women with disabilities; their stories are inspirational! Multi-Media Journeys: Brownies “A World of Girls” Part 2

Celebrate girl empowerment and diversity, using computers and experiential activities! In Part 2, after returning from “Changing a Story,” girls use video production software and other activities to “Tell a Story” about their experiences, and explore a “Better World for Girls.” Enrolling in both Parts 1 and 2 preferred, but not required, if troops do activities on their own. Group discounts, encampment programs and service unit events available. Individual registrants matched with groups if possible.

Multi-Media Journeys: Juniors “aMuse” Part 1

Computers and experiential activities enhance your journey! In Part 1, use photo editing software, plus “hands on” activities to “bust stereotypes,” “walk in another’s shoes,” and explore “girl power!” Some workshop facilitators are young women with disabilities; their stories are inspirational! Group discounts, encampment programs and service unit events available. Individual registrants matched with groups if possible. We’ll bring all the equipment to your location! Register for parts 1 or 2, or both!

Multi-Media Journeys: Juniors “aMuse” Part 2

Use computers and video production to finish off your “Speak Out” award. Celebrate diversity and tell your message while learning on our video production software and equipment, including computers, cameras, and a green screen! Group discounts, encampment programs and service unit events available. Individual registrants matched with groups if possible. We’ll bring all the equipment to your location! Enrolling in both Parts 1 and 2 completes the entire “Speak Out” award.

Multi-Media Journeys: Cadette “MEdia” Part 1 and/or Part 2

Take a big slice out of the MEdia journey “pie,” and we supply all the equipment! In Part 1, use photo editing software to earn most of the “Monitor” award. In Part 2, learn on our video production equipment (including green screen) to earn the “Influence” award. Some workshop facilitators are young women with disabilities; their stories are inspirational! Group discounts, encampment programs and service unit events available. Individual registrants matched with groups if possible.

Multi-Media Journeys: Cadette “MEdia” Overnight Marathon

We bring all our computers and video production supplies (including green screen,) and help your Cadettes complete the bulk of the MEdia journey in one overnight! Troops supply overnight location, food, and safety-wise adults, and Dovetail Associates supplies program implementation (including equipment) on both days, as well as instructions for non-technical “down time” activities the girls complete in the evening /morning. (Some activities led by young women with special needs enhance the experience as well!)

Video Production “Open Exploration”

We invite Cadettes who have produced videos with us (either through the MEdia experience, or in previous years’ workshops) to explore and play with our equipment to produce videos of your own topics. Green screen, cameras, computers, and help from Dovetail staff (we’ll bring to your location)… someone say, “Lights, Cameras, Action!” Group discounts offered. Encampment programs and service unit events available (as an “add on”). Individual registrants matched with groups if possible.

Cancellation Policy

The registration deadline is two weeks before the start of the Workshop. The full price of the workshop will be refunded each person if cancellation is greater than one month before the registration date. The price of the workshop less $10 will be refunded each person if cancellation is less than one month before the registration date and the registration deadline. There will be no refunds if cancellation is made after the registration deadline.
